oscarOscar started with CGI 16 years ago.  Originally an estimator, Oscar has moved up the ranks through the years to become our Director of Architectural Services. His past positions at CGI included Estimator, Estimator Supervisor, Sales Representative, and Sales Manager so Oscar really knows the business. It doesn’t hurt that’s he’s been working in windows since 1978 when he was studying architecture.

We sat down with Oscar to learn a little more about him. First we’ll start with the easy questions and answers:

Favorite vacation spot? Europe

Favorite food? Serrano Ham and Manchego Cheese Sandwich (with great crusty bread) and a good red wine!!!

Favorite movie? Papillon

Favorite CGI product? And why. Our 238 product line which includes the Casement, Fixed and Project-out windows. This has been our “work horse” from the beginning especially because it’s architecturally correct sightlines and proven performance.

Favorite quote? “The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up” Mark Twain

Now let’s find out a little more about Oscar.

Born in Havana, Cuba, Oscar lived in Spain before making a permanent move to South Florida where he’s been the last 40 years. Oscar likes to travel, fish, and practice photography. After 16 years, there has to be a reason he’s still at CGI. We asked him.

What do you like best about working at CGI? Being part of a big family

What’s your favorite CGI component? Our patented 3 point locking system

What makes CGI stand out from the competition- Quality and Performance

If you only had 30 seconds to tell someone why they should choose CGI, what would you say? Choosing CGI Windows and Doors will provide you with peace of mind in the event of a storm knowing that you and your loved ones are protected beyond what the current Code requires.

Now for the question everyone wants to know the answer to. Do you have CGI windows and doors in your home? Of course, would not have anything else!

CGI thanks Oscar for his years of service and loyalty.
