CGI Windows & Doors, the premier manufacturer of hurricane impact resistant windows and doors, drops the curtain for an educational look inside the impact window manufacturing process with a new video located on the CGI YouTube channel.
“The more you know, the better building product choices you can recommend as a dealer, or choose as a homeowner,” said Tom Riscili, president and CEO of CGI Windows & Doors. “Our video spotlights both the manufacturing process and the resulting product, focusing on the features and benefits of choosing one of the best impact window options on the market. We’re all about educating our audiences to make the most well-informed choices possible.”
At a quick 13 minutes, the video spends time inside the manufacturing facility, showcasing the best practices used to construct both the aluminum lines (Estate Collection, Sentinel by CGI, Estate Entrances, and the Commercial Series) and the new Targa by CGI vinyl window line. Following the manufacturing tour, fascinating footage illustrates the pure strength and durability of CGI windows through the use of an air cannon. Simulating hurricane conditions, the cannon projects large pieces of wood clear through non-impact windows, shattering them to pieces, while the CGI impact options stop the wood, remaining strong. Concluding the video is an early look at the brand-new CGI Windows & Doors showroom, open to dealers and the public daily.
The video is also viewable in two smaller segments: one each on the showroom tour and the cannon testing.
Established in 1992, CGI Windows and Doors was the first manufacturer of hurricane windows and doors to offer laminated glass that met Miami-Dade County impact standards – the toughest in the country. Today, every window and door in the CGI product portfolio meets – and exceeds – Miami-Dade standards.
