We love it when CGI Windows & Doors projects take off and great things happen!

Remember reading earlier this year about Moreland on Trapp, the Miami home designed and built by Randall Moreland, AIA? Well, do we have news for you!

In the November issue of DWM Magazine, Moreland on Trapp was recognized with a 2015 DWM Green Award!

According to the magazine, the Green Awards “profile products, projects, and organizations on the cutting edge of energy efficiency.” The magazine called Moreland on Trapp “A Dream Home, with Power Bills to Match” and recognized the project as the first LEED Platinum single-family home in Miami. In their words, “efficient products from CGI Windows & Doors are a big reason for that certification.”

Moreland on Trapp is an exceptional project, and we’re so glad our doors and windows helped the architect achieve his energy-efficiency goals.

In case you’re wondering, we supplied products from our Estate Collection, including the Casement Window Series 238; the Fixed Window Series 238; the Project-Out Window Series 238; the Horizontal Rolling Window Series 375; and Estate entrance doors. All doors and windows featured Lo-E 366 glass.

A little more information from Moreland, upon hearing the news:

“As of November 1, our home, and therefore my office as well, are net-positive electricity for the year (Nov. 1, 2014 – Nov. 1, 2015).”

All of us at CGI Windows & Doors offer our heartfelt congratulations to Randall Moreland on this well-deserved award!
