CGI Windows, the Florida-based premier manufacturer of hurricane impact-resistant windows and doors, recently announced several new products, product updates and a relaunched Web site.
“At CGI we never stop the improvement process, in order to continue to give homeowners and builders industry-leading quality products at a competitive price,” said Steven E. Dawson, executive vice president, sales. “Complete product lines and comprehensive product offerings, coupled with exceptional quality, craftsmanship, energy efficiency and durability – this is our goal, and we have achieved success in this area through new product offerings and product updates so far in 2013.”
Following is an overview of what’s new from CGI so far in 2013:
New: Sentinel 160 French Door A quality swing door was the missing piece to the Sentinel line, and the Sentinel 160 French Door fills that gap by offering homeowners and builders a true value alternative. The fresh, clean look of the new door is highlighted by self-mating sidelites with no separate mullions required; a single-action, three-point lock that does away with awkward double locks; design pressures up to +80/-80 PSF; and a stainless steel package at no extra cost.
Updated: Sentinel 150 Sliding Glass Door The updated Sentinel 150 Sliding Glass Door offers more of what customers expect: strength, beauty and a wide range of standard features and options. Based on dealer feedback, new features include concealed installation screws; an updated two-point lock, improved fixed panel clips; and a redesigned door stop.
Updated: Estate 238 Casement Window Now standard on the Estate 238 Casement Window: a multipoint, single-action lock feature that eliminates the need for multiple cam locks. Multiple locking points and stainless steel components combine to maintain the same design pressures for which CGI is famous. Additionally, a new stainless steel operator provides a significant upgrade with a more contemporary design featuring a rounded profile and a nesting handle design.
Updated: Sentinel 238 Casement Window This industry-leading casement already offered design pressures up to +110/-194.3 PSF, matching sightlines to project out windows, double weather stripping and extruded snap on square glazing beads, but the addition of a new stainless steel operator completed the package. The operator, just like the one on the Estate 238 Casement Window, is a significant upgrade and offers product continuity and a clean design.
